Leave the Planet | Roman Pfeffer at MQ Vienna

LEAVE THE PLANET puts us to the test. Don’t we all long to disappear and leave all the demands of this complex world behind? Is a good life still possible in times of crisis in this world? Are there strategies to lead a “weightless” life without avoidance, repression and escape behavior? How can we take off and look at everything from above with distance? Roman Pfeffer uses “matter” from completely different contexts for his installations. A rowing boat becomes a rocket and an old telephone booth becomes a departure point into the unknown. Although we cannot leave the planet, the work deals with the question: “What if? Do you have to come back then…?”
