Iris Andraschek (* (*1963 in Horn, AT) works with the media of photography and drawing and has realized numerous site-specific projects and installations in public space. Nature, rural and urban places as social space are all recurring themes in her work. In her photo series, Andraschek acts on the border between private and public by skillfully combining found situations with constructed image concepts. In her graphic works, Andraschek isolates the photographic images from the respective context and interlaces individual elements, in fragments and altered proportions, combining this with historical material, ornaments, emblems or text, extracted from conversations and interviews.
